Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH)
AID has been contributing in the delivery of safe, adequate and reliable water supply as well as to the improvement of household hygiene and sanitation situation among the rural poor communities.
Some of the activities under this area include:
Increasing community access to safe clean water and sanitation facilities
Increasing coverage of clean, adequate and safe water
Reducing prevalence of water and sanitation related diseases
Strengthen Village Health Committees and Teams (VHTs) in WASH
Sensitize communities and institutions in sustainable water and sanitation hygiene practices
Distribution of water purifying equipment like water filters to communities
